Tortoreto

Tortoreto Lido for natural beauty, climatic conditions and hospitality facilities continues to confirm a quality tourism; from 1998 to the present it has uninterruptedly obtained the "Blue Flag". It is proposed as the ideal place to spend unforgettable holidays with care for both the big and our small guests. The four kilometers wide beach of fine golden sand make Tortoreto Lido one of the most beautiful resorts on the Abruzzo coast.

Its promenade offers a long, dotted walk of palm trees, pines and oleanders. Under the blue sky, you can also spend wonderful days in the "Onda Blu" water park, 120,000 sqm of fun. Interesting, to be visited, Tortoreto Alto, a medieval old town full of sacred buildings, frequented by its pizzerias, pubs and quaint little restaurants where you can taste the ancient flavors of Abruzzo cuisine.

Tortoreto, the happy island

By staying at Tortoreto Alto you can not go and admire the view from the belvedere of the Fortezza terrace. Located on the east side of the country, it covers the entire territory that runs from the river Tronto to the Tordino river.

Tortoreto Alto just 5 km from Tortoreto Lido is the ancient and historic village of Tortoreto, born in Roman times and flourished in the Middle Ages. The country offers breathtaking beauty and it is recommended to visit both dawn and sunset. Coming from the sea you climb up the ring road and you can park at the foot of the village. Passing the clock tower you can admire the arches of ancient fortifications, the arcades create a unique and suggestive panomaric play: stop at the center of the arches, you will notice that the arches on the right and left frame the west landscape of the Abruzzo mountain and East to the blue sea of the Adriatic coast.
